Built by a lock shop, not a software company

I run a low-voltage and locksmith business. Federal work is some of the best money in this trade: real budgets, real paperwork, contracts that don't fall through because someone changed their mind. But finding it meant sitting down with SAM.gov and digging through thousands of notices a week, buried under industry codes and product codes that don't explain themselves, most of it not even for my trade. I did that for years, on top of running the business, and I still missed things.

I built Solicity because I was tired of losing evenings to that search and still missing work in my own back yard.

The first week it ran, it surfaced 76 opportunities for my shop. A locksmith set-aside at a wildlife refuge in Florida, the small, local kind of job that never would have crossed my desk. An 11,000-unit padlock supply contract, enough to keep a shop busy for a season. A Lenel access-control maintenance contract at Eglin Air Force Base. Federal work, sitting there the whole time, that I had simply never seen.

The industry code most locksmiths search under, NAICS 561621, technically excludes locksmiths.

Not buried in fine print. Written into the code's own definition. I'd been searching under the wrong number for years, and so has almost every locksmith or low-voltage contractor who's ever typed that code into SAM.gov. It's not a rare mistake. It's the default one.

Every trade has a trap like that: a code, a keyword, an exclusion nobody tells you about until it's cost you work. Solicity knows them so you don't have to find out the hard way, like I did.
